Permission to Feel It All This Season

Dear Friend,

The holidays can be beautiful and heavy all at once. There may be moments of joy, laughter, and connection—and moments of quiet sorrow, longing, or overwhelm.

I want to give you permission to feel it all. You don’t have to hide your grief or silence your joy. You don’t have to choose one over the other. Both belong, and both are part of your journey.

In The Bloom Room, we honor the full spectrum of your story—the messy, tender, and beautiful parts. Just as seeds grow unseen beneath the soil, your inner work is unfolding even in the quiet, reflective moments of the season.

With care,
Alishia

I’m Alishia Anderson, a stillbirth survivor who turned my pain into purpose after losing my firstborn son, DJ. Through my book Still Here and future endeavors, I’ve made it my mission to create safe spaces for honest conversations about grief, faith, and hope—for baby loss families, grievers, and anyone navigating life transitions.

I’m a wife, angel mommy to DJ, and a rainbow and golden mama to my two living children. Originally from Michigan, I now call Southern California home and am a proud graduate of Florida A&M University and Kennesaw State University.
